Ned Boulting is the UK’s best-known voice of cycling and the author of five books, including the bestselling How I Won the Yellow Jumper.
In 2020, Ned bought a two-minute length of ageing Pathé news film, featuring a stage of the 1923 Tour de France race, and so began the story of an obsession. Ned undertook an investigation of every frame: a journey of discovery about France and the mysterious men who raced The Tour a century ago.
